Alien Escapade - Synopsis: Per Ardua ad Astra Forward: Alien Escapade, is an ongoing radio space play in episodes which are unique, and may have their own individual structure. This is to cater for the extended concept of understanding, especially as each episode refers to one day in real time in life. Therefore, one Earth day evaluates as one Cassiopeian day which is longer, and represents 5 minutes of air time and is the equivalent to one page of A4 format, as on our website at www alien-escapade co.uk. You will hear a soft voice of the narrator in the background, to advise you when there is a scene change, to help you to clarify which world or place you are in. This is to allow you to keep up with the freedom of this interactive story. Alternatively you can catch up with the whole story online of all the episodes, with the signature tune, and the star date information as in real time at the bottom of each page. The story is similar to the Archers, but instead of it having a faming background, it is based on an aviation background, but instead or aircraft we have Flying Saucers. This allows flights to different worlds in different galaxies, but with many more trips back to Earth. There are some Sci-Fi elements to requirements, but we do not go deliberately go down the techy (techno) route, unless to a specific requirement when technicalities are required. Occasionally it does get intricate, but it does not necessarily mean it is technical. This is because some of the manoeuvres are complicated and they are professional. In the beginning, we initially use a modified Morse code transmission to communicate with the Saucer. There are some other variants as with the language barriers, so we use a few of their words in there own language, for atmosphere or some Latin base words to help describe a difference in culture. Neither do they have cars, but they have Hopper-buggies, and advance form of electric car. Hoppers, are a 2 Seater electric giro helicopter. Mini Saucers are 5 Seater's. And anything above 7-seaters, are normal flying Saucers. The Cassiopeians are an advance form of human race, and they can live for a thousand years, but some anti-bodies will eventually take over, and their technology will have gone. Fortunately there are no known threats of contamination between our worlds, as they are inhumed. They meet the aliens who live on one on the planets orbiting one of the stars in the understood constellation of Cassiopeia. They refer to the name of the constellation as the name of their planet for convince, which is in our future time of about 450 years, being ahead of us. However, it depends on your viewpoint on where you are in that Constellation as galaxies are constantly on the move. The velocity of Mach 14 or Mach 22 is still very slow, but with Hyperdrive it allows us to travel at speed in a different dimension. There are regular visits between planets, as they may still need some more of Earth's raw materials. Series 1: The two ladies from Earth, Wendy and Leila are known as the Girls (or Cats). A week later, after sending out another S.O.S. message, as their only form of communication they are indeed picked up by a flying Saucer. Once in Cassiopeia, they land a town called the Citadel, where they meet Wendy’s father, who originated the trips with the Cassiopeians as they needed some of Earths minerals. The Girls have to undergo tests to be cleared of any contamination or side affects as they are the aliens. This allows restricted access to their Citadel. They came along at the right time, as they get involved with some of the ongoing scandals and problems to help out the Oligarchy, the local controlling body of the Cassiopeians, as their help is needed. Scotty (Wendy's Dad) has to learn how to translate from Cassiopeian into English. Wendy is known in her Cassiopeian form as Vanna, but the name 'Leila' cannot be traced. Therefore they have to travel to another world, that being Planet-Q to meet the Hierarchy, who are the controlling body of the Cosmos; to be able to make the required legal changes. This is to allow Leila to have legal status in a third world of her choice! The on-going friction among the Cassiopeians causes more upheaval within the Elders of the Oligarchy, and another Elder has to go. Therefore the Girls are co-opted back onto their committee to help stop the wrong people from being voted in and taking over as in a coup. The Girls receive status and with it, more trips back to Earth. They start taking artefacts up to Cassiopeia, to create a new portal museum. New problems continue or old ones resurface, so the Girls stay co-opted in, to help out. However, they now need a short break, and come back to Earth, but can they survive the atmosphere, and will there be any other side effects, other than space lag, which is far worse than any jet lag? A few days later they are back on-board and off again to Cassiopeia, as they are needed. Time just vanishes even with their longer days, weeks and months as they are now officially established as the Girls; who are often referred to as the 2 Cats, Leila and Wendy (aka Vanna). Their gender species means that they are two Ladies are Cats, where the Gentlemen are Bears, in their world of Cats and Bears. When the weather starts to scorch, most stay in the caves. Their very hot weather creates unusual phenomena such as fire problems and conversely the opposite with their monsoons. They all have daily duties to perform on fire and rain watch, in looking after their planet, as it becomes everyone's personal responsibility. This leads on to new problems with the Elders, and another Elder is sacked, but they are still hindered by a blocked vote within the Elders. By chance Wendy (Vanna) traces her Mum (Selina), and they meet in up secret, as she does not want to upset anyone until they have freedom passes, so they can be accepted in their new way of life, as one of their community. They start bringing the aliens (Cassiopeians) back to Earth in secret; and the first alien Kaon, (a Bear) arrives! He will have to be hidden, but how? The Saucer gets upgraded, but a fire nearly starts on refuelling. This brings the time travel down to 22 hours between our two planets and a welcome relief, especially as it is such a very small Saucer, holding only 8 passengers and 3, crew. This leads them on to bringing a second alien, Gina, (a Cat), back to Earth. Vanna/Wendy Wendy meets Zola as Cats, and a friendship develops. Leila befriends Kirin (Bear), the first officer of the Saucer, but after a while they break up. Moreover, Wendy and Zola’s loyalty enhances their relationship. Kirin is now free and mates up with Kara (Cat). Leila goes out with Zola’s sister, Ming, but eventually meets up with Skipper another Space Captain (Bear). More problems with another Elder who will somehow have to go, but which one from the from the Chair of the Oligarchy, as more problems surface. This leads on to major informal meetings at Vanna/Wendy Mum's Mansion, (known as the Fundus). Whereas two of the Oligarchy, Elders are missing, but Why? The Sheriff is investigating a scandal and another change in the Eldership has to take place, but who will go and how? Qualla, (a Cat), has never seen a balloon, so the girls take one back, all to their amazement and enjoyment, and it will make a good tourist attraction. Qualla eventually befriends our Saucer Captain (Bear). This allows the Girls to get their freedom passes, but owing to more legal loop holes, they have to make another trip back to Planet-Q. This time it is all done in secret, which is very difficult! Their application has to go to the highest court in the Cosmos, but eventually it is rubber-stamped, meaning that the Elders are no longer immune from prosecution, and are accountable in a lower court, back in Cassiopeia. After some hassle they finally get clearance for a larger Saucer. It will be a little faster and slightly bigger, but on their maiden voyage to Earth they encounter problems! They are spotted by a stealth bomber as they come out of Hyperdrive, whose plane had exceeded their limits; and had started to come after them! Therefore some drastic action has to be taken for security reasons. This will cause a lot of friction on Earth; regardless of all the scrutiny of an Oligarchy enquiry, over their actions. The Cassiopeians are a peaceful world, and it must stay that way, at all costs. The only known friendly country towards aliens is China. Therefore when their moon probe detects their Saucer, as it comes out of Hyperdrive the Girls have to break cover as they cannot afford to start WW4. Eventually they get a trip to China by plane, and a trust develops under tight security. As time moves on the Saucer drops in on a direct landing, into a newly built Helipad in the Ambassador’s garden in China. Vanna's younger sister Tetra, is interested in hydropower and they are all flabbergasted that a slow narrow boat could be so pleasurable. Unfortunately it is too long to fit it into their newer Saucer, so they take the plans back to have one built. It will be used for a passenger service on their Canal, which flows for hundreds of kilometres, and is being extended. A trusted friend, Ted, who helps with the SOS messaging, is taken up to Cassiopeia to see if advance medicine can help his leg condition, but there are many moral issues here. Eventually some medical treatment is approved. This leads on to Sandy and her husband Mark, a friend of Wendy going up to Cassiopeia for a holiday, but it is hard for them to believe. They are now arranging survival trips back onto a tiny uninhabited island on Earth, so that the young Cassiopeians can come down and experience a unique world of nature. Series 2: Cassiopeian music can appear to be a bit bland at times, as it is all electronically produced. Wendy gets involved, and they take a grand piano back which will fit inside their Saucer. Tetra, her younger sister, is almost glued to the piano stool, but they need someone to teach her how to play it. Keith, a friend of Wendy's is seconded in, as he is an organist, but he has some difficulty explaining to his wife, Beverly that he will be missing for a couple of weeks, and he cannot send her a postcard. However, their SOS transmissions are spotted as a bleep at the space observatory on their radar system, but what will happen? The Girls too are grounded in Cassiopeia as they cannot afford any exposure whilst the earthlings look for the missing Malaysian airliner back on Earth. Will the Chinese accept that they had nothing to do with it, especially after the last incident? Do they keep the trips going or will they not want to come back to Earth? Can they survive in the other world or have the best of both worlds? What will happen if they are caught on Earth with an alien? Only time will tell, although ‘Space lag’ is catching them all up, fast. Ted, the space co-ordinator panics, so what will happen to him as he becomes a security risk? Will Ted be made redundant, but how? Keith is in demand, and he takes over as space co-ordinator, and they need his help to take an organ up to Cassiopeia. It becomes a tight squeeze, packing in all the pipes into the Saucer, and they have to remove a couple of seats. The problem is that Keith has to convince his wife again that she cannot tell anyone where they are going or have really been, especially to their caring family. Fortunately, the Chinese come through with a proper hidden landing site at their new farm. Pam the taxi driver is commissioned into looking after Chinese clients from the station to the Farm and receives a few perks. Moreover what is in store for the 2 Girls, when they can get back home to Cassiopeia? Series 3: They get stuck on Earth for a couple of extra days as the Saucer develops a major fault while in zero gravity on a routine test flight. Rescue services are alerted, which heightens their future role and assists in the disposal of some nasty space mites. Tetra, has a brainstorm and comes up with some plans to save the drought areas. Whilst on a severance trip in a Chopper-chopper (a 5 seater electronic helicopter). Tetra, spots a landslide at the side of Space Dock, which causes a rumpus with the emergency services, as they cannot get down to clear the area. Climbers are called in to help with the rescue. Qualla is made up to full Eldership status. Along comes a new blue-eyed Bear, Yafo who takes over as assistant Elder, but he soon gets into trouble with the Oligarchy. Things are still moving on in the background with more scandals and more on-going investigations are coming to light. The Sheriff becomes overworked, however everyone is waiting for the other person (Being), to go first. Much of the originality of the Ontogenesis tribe has been lost owing to the wars hundreds of years ago, and Tetra the youngest surviving member of the tribe, seeks to form a group, to make a private an application for a third trip back to the Hierarchy on Planet-Q; for status to be re-established. The consequences are that is another Elder has been vanished. Will Vanna now want to take over the Chair of the Eldership? Will the other Elders agree to it? Or will she let them squabble it out between themselves? Some of the changes are good and some could be very bad. Many modifications have to be made to Space Dock, and they are offered the chance to buy back their old Saucer at a reduced price. This allows them to have future trips to other galaxies of Algol and Cepheus, and keep the local runs going whilst they are away. So what becomes in stored for them next? Kirin cancels his engagement to Kara and she moves on to Yafo. Skipper breaks up with Leila. Qualla and the Captain settle their differences and form a proper relationship. Gina air hostess and Jarry, Saucer Radio Operator, finally get their engagement under way. Now that Qualla and the Captain are potentially engaged, will the Captain want to continue the runs as he has to take on new responsibilities. What about the rapport of the Chinese? Vanna too is having second thoughts about the trips. Leila's mother is poorly? So a daunting time for all concerned. Ming is now free to form a relationship with Kirin, but he has demanding exams. On a further trip to Earth they lose Hyperdrive deep in outer space! It would mean a four and a half day trip left to complete the trip to get to Earth! Will they make it there, but they could become stuck on Earth? How will they get back, as It would take 45 days at Mach 9. Do they have enough food and water and oxygen in a claustrophobic atmosphere of a Saucer? Fortunately a rescue mission is launched and they piggyback the two Saucers, using the escape hatches, so they can make repairs. Both Saucers end up on tiny island called Papparay, a nature reserve on Earth, in the Western isles, for a day's stay, before returning home. A sudden surge of activity when they are called in to help salvage a very large size Saucer the Cirrus 1, which has crash landed in dense forestation, and it would normally take over two days to get to the site in torrential rain, but what about any survivors and could they survive that long? The Captain goes against 'grounded orders' to try and rescue any survivors, but he is putting his own Saucer and his own crew at additional risk. He does manage to rescue some of the injured, but a 3 day disciplinary hearing follows, for disobeying orders. The pressure is on, and back down they go to Earth. Will the Chinese secure their future, because security becomes even a bigger issue, as with demands for even more trips to Earth grows. Series 4: A welcome break to hear the Organ played live out to a packed audience in Cassiopeia. More investigations and some old insider dealings are needed to be stamped out, so they have to use the Army as there is too much corruption within their police Ranger Agent force. This helps to bring back the standards of trust, to the public, as in public money, know as Qintars. Tetra, does much research to find wormholes or voids. Eventually they find the old wormhole and are able to travel to Algol and save over a day's travel time. They restore the old communication links, after hundreds of years of damages and wars. Time moves on and Vanna, Zola and Leila are back on Earth for another routine visit, and they liase with the Chinese. but Wendy has a heart attack and dies in her sleep, but is this the end of the story? No! It is just the beginning, because within days she is home back in her real Cassiopeian body as the real Vanna, and carries on as normal, after a few days of re-adjustment. Another rescue happens when the Vulcan (12 Seater Saucer) is dead in space, spotted by Tetra on RADAR, So they are off at high speed to find the Vulcan and another piggyback adventure to make urgent repairs, but they do not have the parts. The repaired Cirrus 1 Saucer is now owned and used in Cepheus, with their Captain Dux and Captain Cheb, who is also an engineer, and they take the needed spare parts out to them, and have a double piggyback docking, link up, for a real reunion. Eventually, they have to take the Cepheus Crew back to their home in Cepheus, but they are overweight and will they make it, and at what cost? There is also a measurement conversation factor problem between their worlds, which could be catastrophic, but Cheb (Bear from Cepheus) comes to their rescue? Another trip right into the heart of China, where they have their second visit, to meet with Chinese Ambassador for more social talks, which is the start of allowing some Chinese visitors to go to Cassiopeia for mutual exchange and enhanced friendship. Vanna gains more status with the Cepheus, and the Algolians and they will shortly be needing Vanna's help. Malcolm the helicopter pilot is invited up and decides to stay, owing to their being a shortage of pilots in Cassiopeia. The Chinese rapport improves. Leila's mother has another heart attack, and all the rumpus and turmoil of the family concerns, when she finally passes over, the day before Leila was going to give her a holiday of a life time. Dalbir (Bear) already has a Hopper-hopper (mini electric helicopter). Vanna, Zola, Tetra all go for their licences. A new fleet of Hoppers, are being established, but will it stop there? An upgraded security system is installed which means that your revised Scroll-card, is your debit card, security pass and your passport; all in one, which is in line with other worlds, so it is like an Intergalactic passport. but not valid on Earth. Vanna goes for prestige and to act as Cosmos backup host, which means a long private trip to Planet-Q for approval. Algol and Cepheus have already agreed, but she has difficulty in persuading the Hierarchy. However this allows her to have control distribution rights between the three worlds. Vanna is struggling to get a link open to Earth, because advanced technology has become a barrier. Coming home from Planter-Q, they could not land back in the Citadel, because of torrential rain, so they fly on to Atlantic City, a further 10,000 Km, but it takes less than an hour. They spend an extra night there, and the bonus is that the Captain meets the Master, his equivalent resulting in some interesting discussions. Skipper, another Saucer Pilot, and Jabo, (Bear and Cat) become friends and they work together on extending their fish reserve. On another trip home from Earth, they see a fighter which has flamed out. Do they stop to help and risk being detected, or can they at least try and do something? Vanna is eager to buy some barren land as it is cheap. Everyone else becomes interested as they all want their own plots and have residency, but how are they going to pay for it, without Qintars? (local currency) The usual problems continue in the background, and the Girls are again in demand. Vanna's Hopper develops a small fault and they have a 2-hour space flight to Space Cavern for repairs. Zola's Hopper is now ready and they both fly home together. There are now a total is 4 Hoppers, making airways busier. Gera, Elder 1 (Bear) resigns his Eldership and this causes a reshuffle among Elders. Leila, has more problems back on Earth, with her brother, Andrew, after her mother dies, the day before Leila was going to take Mum on a secret holiday in Cassiopeia. Leila, is left behind on Earth, as the others have to get back home because as they are in demand. Tetra gets herself a boyfriend, Leno (Bear) someone who she knew from her old school days and she drags herself into sorting out some his educational problems. Dalbir, Malcolm, Kirin, and Skipper all have important exams to sit, but not without additional problems as they have been in more situations than the examiners have, and have more questions to their questions. Liang and Feny at A Chinese Embassy in London befriend each other, after they have an invite to go up to Cassiopeia, and their relationship blossoms, but Liang is a heavy drinker and passes out owing to the lower oxygen levels. Will he survive and will they let him come home? Moreover a romance starts in secret between Malcolm and Leila, and can they make it work together, as they both know what they want in life, but can they achieve it or will there be a clash of interest? The Algolians are in need of the Cassiopeians' help, as they have a local dispute which goes back hundreds of years. Therefore a rush trip and off to Algol, to help sort out their problems. Another raid takes place to try and eradicate the cartel, but who can be trusted? It leads on to the Chief's brother being arrested against his will, because he is immune from prosecution. The judges says that it is in the interest of security, so back to court it goes, but are they going to allow it? The crew manage to pass more exams, and eventually so did the Hoppers exams, but they have to re-sit different sections of them again, and spend an extra night and day studying. They get the Vulcan (12 Seater Saucer) on permanent loan from Cepheus, which is much bigger than their 2 Saucers they have, They upgrade her for speed, instead of for haulage. Earthquakes can hot up at any time, and Volcano Laertes, has been dormant for hundreds of years, but suddenly a huge dust cloud envelopes and it is heading for the Citadel. This could ground them for weeks and what about the damage? The new larger Saucer the Vulcan, is too big to hide and it could be ruined forever. Therefore they have to shift the workforce around and they manage to build a temporary hangar, but not without many new problems. On another trip to Algol, they find more parts missing again from their Vulcan Saucer, because the Cepheusians do not like replacing parts, but fortunately they make a safe landing, and new parts are made from the original plans. So many other things are happening in the background and Vanna's mum, Selina still has trouble keeping up, and She is rebelling. An Eagle Space Ship goes missing, and they eventually find it after 2 days out, Dead in Space. Was it an accident or was it premeditated murder? The insurance companies are refusing to pay out, and will they go under as they cannot support the huge claims? A salvage operation takes place to get the Eagle back home, but it takes the Captain a 4 day trip in space. Investigations take place, and the Girls are called in as no one can be trusted. Dalbir (Bear) befriends Nacra (Cat) after he had finished with Leila. Riss (Cat) befriends Kirin (Bear). The strange thing is, that people are suddenly wanting to go to Earth, but why? This brings Lacerta back into the open, as the mystery thickens. Series 5: Vanna, still cannot get communications to work between Earth and Cassiopeia. The only answer is to go to Algol to retrieve the old defunct satellite as it is the older and slower technology. With the aid of few space walks, They manage to replace the batteries and the propellant and after a couple more weeks bring it back to life. The craze just continues, and two Rattle Sakes (similar and bigger than the old space shuttle) are brought cheap and piggyback onto the Vulcan (bigger Saucer) and brought home from Cepheus on two independent long trips. They are refurbished and up grading and are up flying again. In the meantime a further trip back to Cepheus to bring back another Vulcan piggyback on the Vulcan, as this too will be refurbished, owing to demand. So all the crews are extremely busy and need to upgrade their licences. The demand from other worlds, put additional pressure upon them and three Saucers depart simultaneously off to three different worlds, but one gets delayed by a heat haze. There is some jealousy as to finances and how can Vanna finance some of these very expensive trips. They work out at ¢50,000 (Pounds times 3). Tetra, decides on the quiet, to use her savings and buy herself her own mini Saucer (Missy), but it leaves her penniless and she has not yet completed her Hopper license. However it will take a couple of months for it to be rebuilt. Tetra originally she wanted to buy a Snake as well, but she has a lot to learn. The first part of the canal extension gets finished, and will help relieve any flood plan problems, and another 20Km is under construction with the second reservoir, as in case of a drought. They intend even going further through to Cassiopeian Ponds, another 60Km, as that is riddled with problems. They are o ut searching for new voids, but technology is limiting their navigation computers, because the Cosmos through galaxies is so vast it just cannot comprehend things, so many development upgrades are required. They need the voids, to cut down travelling time. There is much concern about extended travel time in space, with especially with a lack of exercise, and is it hindering their progress or it is making them go crazy, other than with space lag? Therefore they call in Dr Poult, the psychiatrist, to do an analysis report, which creates an interesting reading. In the end Vanna buys two Rattle Snakes (larger than the space shuttle) and has them piggyback home. They are upgraded and certificated them for flying, and everyone likes them as they can see out. With the continued support of the Chinese, the trips continue on a regular basis to Earth. The expansion of Space Docks brings more space traffic to and from the Citadel. Their fleet increases in size with bigger and Faster Saucers. Their destinations through the galaxies grows, but are still hampered with difficulty in getting to Lacerta. Other planets call on their services to retrieve a Space Ship (Eagle) dead in space, and return the deceased to their home planet. Unfortunately there are still some wicked people out there, and they are called to investigate an arson attack, but it is premeditated murder. They bring back some more old Saucers, home from the salvage yards, to have them refurbished, as there is a demand for older style Saucers grows. After many delays, they are finally on a trip back to Earth. However en route a faulty batch of crystals, turn them dark blue, and sends everyone to sleep. Fortunately Tetra (Lady Cat) is in the Cargo hold, and is able to stay awake and sets out resolving the problems, but some people do not like taking orders from a young Lady Cat, although she is officially the Captain in charge, of the Saucer, and they have to return home. There appears to be a consistency being detected, as this could be a second bout of premeditated murder. Vanna, finally is able to buy a huge flying Saucer, Cosmo1, a 28 Seater, which normally stays in orbit. However the suspicion thickens on how they managed to buy it so cheap, with nasty surprises ahead and a 7 day space flight to fetch Cosmo1back to their new home, which is deep inside uncharted space. Owing to another premeditated murder attack (the 3rd) they find 19 deceased persons onboard, who were not so lucky. They bring them home so they can be put to rest in peace. The promoted Sheriff now known as the Snooper, has two big cases to solve, as they too had been previously targeted. Gina's wedding to Jarry is put on hold again as the crew are not ready, and Jarry still has cold feet. ``Tetra's birthday is only two months away, when she gets the key of the door. Qualla is trying to sort out Yanan's (Captain) habits so they can formerly become engage, but he must see his mother more often. They are busy laying new data cables in parts of the Citadel and in two other worlds, so they can have intergalactic link-ups, but trying to get things working to the same specification is a nightmare, and means another trip to Algol, taking the parts and the workers with them. Vanna's new Airbase on the land she brought, is coming to life and a new 1.4Km runway has been built, and it can be used as a diversionary airfield for intergalactic use. Malcolm is busy cultivating some of the farm land. Another trip to Earth to Earth, to replace the last one, to put the Chinese mind at rest, and they finally get a restricted video link working in black and white, and it is agreed to invite more Chinese up. Vanna sues the court for negligence, as they were sold the Saucer to her through agents, which was not legal after all. Will, she able to keep the Saucer? What about all these deceased bodies, will the public want to know much more? How could there be such an oversight? They overall the mini Saucer, which comes with the big Saucer. They finally work our how to land the giant Saucer, so it can maintained. However, will their Saucer get confiscated as it was not a legal biding transaction in another world? Therefore they have to go back to Planet-Q for legal status to be clarified, with Hierarchy. Other orders are coming in for their services, with a trip to Cepheus; another one to Deneb; but they want a special holiday to a new unknown world.
