Alien Escapade º Episode 0733 - The Flight Encore: Dobra, Leila, Malcolm, Kara, Master, Mob, Selina, Tetra, Vanna, Zola, ~ 10 {Adder In flight for landing ~ 3} - [R402] ``Vanna: R042 to Dock, location check, over. ``Dalbir: Do a 360º turn, and you should see your Trulli. ``Vanna: Zarfs. --- How wonderful. ``Tetra: Can we go over the Fundus on the next trip. ``Master: Maybe. We will land on Runway 260º eastward, and what Height are we? ``Vanna: 800m. ``Master: Too high drop to 2,000 RPM and watch the pitch, as the nose will drop so re-trim. ``Vanna: Lining up on finals. ``Master: Good, and you are at 400m. Reduce to 1800 RPM and 10º of flaps, and re-trim. The experience comes with getting the height correct. The artificial horizon will guide you, as long as you keep within those parameters, you should be ok. 200m at the end of the runway, and you should drop nicely on to it - Hold the nose up on back pressure and you may hear the stall warning buzzer, so ease off and down, and roll for a little way, applying brakes gently, and taxi up to Pad 8. Power down procedure. Congratulations everyone. [Zaa's] I will order 10 and Malcolm can do some fresh drinks quin. --- Okay, it will take half time, for Kara to appear, so let us have a debriefing folks. ``Mob: It was an amazing experience, which I have never had before, as you do not lose that sensation of being in the Saucer. ``Dobra: I too have never experienced this, and the Eagle only comes near to this experience. -|-``Kara: Quano everyone, it is food time, and I too want to see what you have been up to. ``Vanna: Why not stay for the afternoon flight in Cobra (R044)? ``Kara: I would love to. I have brought some extra food, so dig in. ``Leila: I never did much in the way of flying on Earth so I cannot really comment. ``Zola: It is a different sensation which is unique. ``Vanna: Malcolm will brief you Kara, before we try out our second Snake. {Cobra Air Base In flight to local area ~ 4} - [R942] ``Master: We will repeat a similar trial with R044. We will go south west and follow the canal. Therefore quin, make your way over to the Snake. --- ``Kara: Blimey, I have never seen anything like it. ``Malcolm: Outer door, secured. ``Master: It is all yours! ``Vanna: Start up sequence completed. ``Tetra: This one seems to move faster. R044 to Dock, permission to take off over. ``Dalbir: Dock to Cobra cleared for lift off. Wind has changed to northerly at 10 knots. ``Vanna: Cobra confirmed and we are going south west. Brakes off. ``Master: She is, more lively. ``Vanna: We roll, 2,500 RPM and gauges are near to green. Full power and 120kts and lift off. The climb rate is better. ``Master: I will have words with Pilot. ``Tetra: ALT 1Km and climbing. ``Master: level out. ``Tetra: ALT is 2,000m and a lovely view down below. ``Vanna: Going WSW. ``Selina: There is our Fundus. ``Tetra: Yippee. ``Vanna: I am altering course to south west and following the canal. ``Tetra: There is the new reservoir and it has filled up! Well the first one has. ``Master: Shall we see if we can get the gauge to go into the amber? Increase to 3,300 RPM ``Vanna: We will go into cloud, as it looks like a rain storm over to the north. Cobra to Dock; be aware of a rain storm, coming in from the north over. ``Dalbir: Zaffre Cobra, and I will update. ``Tetra: We are at 5Km and are now in cloud. ``Master: Keep an eye on those instruments, decrease back to 2,500 RPM. ``Vanna: This is wonderful. ``Tetra: Coming out of cloud at ALT 2Km. ``Master: 15º bank to port and 180º turn, and if we drop down to 2,000 RPM we will gradually come down. Where are we Tetra? ``Tetra: I think we have shifted west where that big mountain is, so it was a good job we increased height, although we did not get the stall warning sound. ``Master: It could be faulty! ``Tetra: We are now coming over the Monorail. ``Master: Same landing procedure as before. ``Vanna: 200m at turning circle. 10º of flap, she appears not to be dropping. ``Master 15º of flap. ``Vanna: Dropping in. Rolling. Down and brakes gently on and taxiing to Pad 9.
