Alien Escapade º Episode 0409 - The Recruits: Captain, E1-Gera, E2-Qualla, E3-Jota, E4-Udal, Hepta, Jarry, Kirin, Leila, Scotty, Selina, Vanna, ~ 12 {Elders Conference Room, Interview + Hepta ~ 7} ``Elder 3: You have all had time to consider Hepta’s profile, so I open it up to the floor. ``Elder 4: What made you give up teaching? ``Hepta: It can get monotonous after many years and some Beings need to retire earlier than others. ``Elder 2: How come you never thought of this job as a possibility? ``Hepta: I have been looking around, but never dreamt of going down this way. ``Leila: What would you do in a hypothetical situation where you need answers, but cannot get them? ``Hepta: Have a big notice board with ‘Help’ plus a question written on it. ``Vanna: Who would you go and see, if you had a complaint? ``Hepta: An informal complaint, to the assistant Elder, and a formal complaint via the secretary. ``Vanna: What would happen when you come to a deadlock position and no one wins? ``Hepta: Ask them to leave and to reconsider their point of view, requesting another appointment. ``Elder 1: Is there anything you would like to ask us? ``Hepta: I think I should spend a day with you all, to see if I can fit in, as I have nine classes in one here. ``Elder 1: I agree with that. ``Elder 3: All in favour? [-Zaa’s-] Approved. {Space Dock Tower ~ 2} ``Captain: I have had mail in from Joya, and the normal Earth trip is to come first. ``Kirin: It will take Cepheus a couple of qefs before the Vulcan leaves, so we have time to fit one journey in, but the Girls may have to wait before being picked up. ``Captain: Okay, I concede. So when can we leave? ``Kirin: No time like the present. ``Captain: Okay, mail the Girls and calculate a time fix. ``Kirin: Zaa Captain. {Sandalwood Fundus ~ 3} ``Vanna: See mum, I was right! ``Selina: Go on. ``Vanna: We have a new Elder 5 and a new PRO. ``Selina: What? Blimey, but who? ``Vanna: Sarka? ``Selina: Wonderful, and who? ``Vanna: Hepta a retired skool master. ``Selina: I need a drink --|-- ``Tetra: Sister, your computer is going ballistic. ``Vanna: Zarfs. I am coming. ``Vanna: Oh heck, can we go in 3 times?. ``Tetra: 3 hours? Can I come? ``Vanna: You have not been cleared. ``Tetra: I have been to Papparay, so why can I not see more of this Earth of yours? ``Vanna: Papparay is a holiday, but Earth is not. ``Tetra: So does that mean I go on the program? ``Vanna: Zaa. ``Tetra: Ok, I will do it now. ``Vanna: More mail coming in, so Zola and Leila have confirmed and I will mail the captain to confirm --- sent. Tetra, come and do the radio quin, so I can lift-off home. ``Tetra: Certus. ``Vanna: Bye Mum, we are off to Earth, no time for drinks. ``Selina: Zenden. Oh dear! That is so typical of earthlings, one unit they are here, and the next unit, they have gone. {Leila’s Trullo ~ 2} ``Vanna: Are we ready as Zola will meet us at Space Dock? ``Leila: Zaa. Just the one trolley as usual. ``Vanna: That is good they will both go in the Hopper-hopper. ``Leila: Marvellous. {Space Dock Control Zone ~ 5} ``Vanna: Hopper to Tower, over. ``Skipper: Tower to Hopper, you are cleared for SP1, but be advised, that maintenance staff are on the Apron. ``Hopper to Tower, confirmed and send up a orange flare, over. ``Skipper: Approved, over. [- Orange flare launched - POP -] ``Kirin: Captain, orange flare. ``Captain: Blimey, that is the standard I expect to see.
