Alien Escapade ºº Episode 0004 - The Inconceivable: Jarry, Leila, Morse, Wendy, ~ 04 {Wendy’s Bungalow + Leila ~ 2} - [Wednesday morning] ``Wendy: We have not got time for solicitors, just draft up a letter and give it to your mother, and I will do the same with Sandy and Mark. ``Leila: Sure, but what shall we take with us? ``Wendy: Just a rucksack of usual things, a towel and sunglasses, but no metal. It will take us a couple of days to get to Camelopardalis, so bring some card games. ``Leila: You mean that? ``Wendy: Yes, well it is 229 light years away, so what do you expect? ``Leila: All right, I was only asking. ``Wendy: Sorry, and we will meet up tomorrow evening! ``Leila: Yea, any problems phone me! ``Wendy: They should call us at the same time tomorrow, so be here please. ``Leila: Okay, just give me time to think and take it all in, as this is not a normal holiday. {Wendy’s Bungalow + Leila ~ 2} - [Wednesday evening] ``Wendy: Any problems? ``Leila: No just some funny looks as they think I have flipped as well. ``Wendy: It is a pity that we cannot send them a postcard. ``Leila: What about my mobile phone? ``Wendy: No chance. ``Leila: Camera? ``Wendy: Nope! ``Leila: Art pad? ``Wendy: Yes. ``Leila: Passport? ``Wendy: Nope. [Morse transmission In from Scotty] ‘-.-. /.-/--/./.-..’ Camel ‘.---/…/..-/-./’ ``Wendy: one sun, brilliant. That means they are on course. We will have to be at the top of Troth Hill by midnight tomorrow, and have a drink and bring a torch. ``Leila: Where is that? ``Wendy: It is on a derelict piece of wasteland next to the old railway station here on the map. We will meet inside the old booking hall, but walk up and don’t get a taxi. {Troth Hill} - [Friday Morning ~ 2] ``Wendy: Can you feel a breeze? ``Leila: Yea, does that mean they are coming? ``Wendy: They are here. [Morse transmission out] /…….. /Ready? There’s the spot light, put on your sunglasses! ``Leila: Blimey! ``Wendy: Lets get into the middle of the beam, so they can lower the drawbridge for us. ``Leila: That is bright! ``Wendy: As soon as we are onboard, the drawbridge will be retracted and we are off. [They board the Saucer ~ 3] ``Leila: Hold my hand please, I’m a bit scared! ``Wendy: Sure, just keep going through this mauve coloured fog. It is probably a decontamination device and X-ray machine, as we are the aliens. ``Leila: What a weird sensation! ``Wendy: Just follow the arrows on the walls which will direct us into a room. ``Leila: Wow, nice décor, it reminds me of Zorn! ``Wendy: I wonder who got it from who? ``Leila: At least, this is what I expect from a space ship! ``Wendy: Plenty of time for that later! Get seated for immediate lift-off. ``Jarry: Zenden. ``Wendy: Zenden. Strap yourself in for take-off. ``Leila: These bucket style seats are comfortable although the straps feel like sticky plastic stretchable belts, and a keypad on the arms. ``Wendy: That was Jarry our steward. Look at the on-screen display on the wall, which has split screen capability. There are two visual cameras; one looking forwards towards space, and the other looking backwards, towards Earth. Can you see their hieroglyphic symbols of their language, which looked like artistic flowers! And one section at the bottom right, on the screen shows us Roman numerals. The count down has already begun, V, IV, III, II, I. ``Leila: Amazing. ``Wendy: You will hear a humming vibration of the linear induction motors resonating, while they wind themselves up into a smooth higher pitch sound, which then goes into silent running. ``Leila: I can feel the lift. ``Wendy: Look at our night sky and landscape below, with all the towns lit up. ``Leila: Just some cloud on the forward display [Panic] --- What’s happening? --- ``Wendy: The pressure Is too great [voices start to distort] ``Leila: It’s crushing me into my seat! --- ``Wendy: Too much g-force ‘quag; quag;’ which means help! --- Wave your hands in the air --- ‘quag; quag;’ --- At last, that’s better. We still have to learn how to control our breathing! ``Leila: I’m pleased that is over. Now what?
